Meet Your LoCAR Affiliate: Mike Warden of First Place Bank

Before starting with First Place Bank, Mike worked in downtown Cleveland for many years but was looking for a local opportunity to use his financial services, sales and customer service background. Mike earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from University of Findlay and has 25 years sales experience in financial services and litigation support industries.

Seven years ago he found such an opportunity with First Place Bank. Mike has also been a LoCAR member for the past seven years. Mike has been an active LoCAR member with his various Golf Outing sponsorships.

“I enjoy helping people achieve homeownership and improving their financial situation by refinancing,” says Mike. For example, Mike has helped a client keep their home by restructuring the loan to fit their new economic circumstances.

According to Mike, “My greatest challenges are getting loans approved in a tightening environment with rules and appraisals and yet not putting people in a position to fail if they aren’t qualified.” Mike looks out for the best interest of his customers.

Mike is also a member of Rotary and coaches AAU basketball.
